About Us

Founded in 2017, the DJ Collective began as a simple idea to create a gathering of like-minded professionals in the DJ industry and it has rapidly grown to be the top experience for professional DJs with a desire to elevate their businesses and participate in a supportive and educational community. This annual event has grown from a handful of friends gathered in an Airbnb to a conference style experience of over 150 DJs from around the world to be inspired and learn. This is the event of the year for private event and club DJs who want to elevate themselves and the industry.

The Founders

Brian B

DJ Brian B Official
Co-founder // Raleigh, NC

One of the premier destination private event DJs, Brian B travels around the world DJing some of the most luxurious events.

When he's not traveling or performing, he dedicates his time to giving back to the industry. You’ll find him speaking at industry events, contributing to blogs and publications, leading his crowd-sourced coaching group, or recording episodes of his solo podcast, The Travel DJ Blend, as well as his new collaborative podcast with Joe Bunn, Beyond The DJ Booth.

After spending over a decade in the Big Apple, Brian now calls Raleigh, NC home. He lives there with his wife, Tara, their curious and playful daughter, Annie, and their teacup morkie, Tucker, a tiny dog with a big-dog attitude. Before his time in New York City, Brian’s journey included stops in Southern California and the Panhandle of Florida, giving him a unique perspective from coast to coast.

Jason’s celebrity and high-profile events are too numerous to count – from Bravo’s Real Housewives to performing onstage with Cardi B and Diplo at the official Super Bowl party for the 2018 world champion Philadelphia Eagles. His company, The SCE Event Group, performs across the country and has literally re-written the book on private event entertainment. Jason continues to break barriers with endorsements and nightlife partnerships as well as DJing an astounding 100+ shows a year.

Joe Bunn

Bunn DJ Company
Co-founder // Raleigh, NC

Joe Bunn has grown his multi-op company, Bunn DJ Company, to six offices in five states. Joe is also the founder of The DJ’s Vault, an online community of over 1,000 DJs who subscribe to content Joe creates and curates to educate the next generation of DJs. He is also the founder of Bunn Gear which creates portable DJ booths. And he also co-founded Crate Hackers which helps DJs organize their libraries and find the bangers faster. Joe also still performs at private events all over North Carolina. When he’s off the clock, he can be found fishing, at the beach, or chilling in his hometown of Raleigh, NC with his sons.
